Vaisyas are the third caste in the caste system. They consist of farmers and craftsmen. They are more prospersous than the next lowest caste system, the Sudra, but their work mostly benefits the two higher castes, the Khastriyas and Brahmins. The Vaisyas follow through with the wishes of the higher castes because they want good karma, so they could move up in the caste system.
