Sanskrit

Sanskrit is the ancient Indo-European language, and it is perserved today in Hindu sacred texts like the Vedas.  It is the oldest surviving aspect of the ancient Indo-European society.  The oldest sanskrit texts are the Vedas, and they date back to the second millenium BCE (1000-1999 BCE).  Sanskrit means complete or perfect because it has been changed over time to perfect it.
